Crown Rot in Vanda:

Vandae grow at the apex or the crown. They are hence susceptible for crown rot. It is advised to avoid water accumulating in the crown for long periods. Some experts recommend watering the plants in the mornings so that the crown will be dry by night time.

The application of suitable fungicides could also prevent this problem. This is a bigger issue in colder countries than in India. We have experienced this rarely in Kerala and only during heavy rainy periods.
